What is a web site?
The answer may appear obvious but at Quietsleep Creative we look at a little differently than most developers. Wikipedia.org defines a web site as
A website (or Web site) is a collection of web pages, typically common to a particular domain name or subdomain on the World Wide Web on the Internet.
A web page is a document, typically written in HTML, that is almost always accessible via HTTP, a protocol that transfers information from the website's server to display in the user's web browser.
Most web site developers create their sites with this definition in mind. At Quietsleep Creative we look at a web site as a one-on-one conversation with the person who is visiting your site at the moment. Advertising, whether by print or electronic means, serves as an invitation to an individual to engage in that conversation when they sit down at your computer and access your site. Your job is to make that conversation interesting, informative and personal enough to convince that individual to call for an appointment.
Quietsleep Creative offers two types of sites for sleep practices:
- Prebuilt Sites
- Custom Designed Web sites
prebuilt web sites
The prebuilt site is ideal for practices just beginning their journey into sleep medicine or those that wish to provide oral appliance therapy on a limited basis.
The site consists of 7 pages: a prewritten home page, an About the Doctor page that includes a biography and photograph, a prewritten page about oral appliances, a contact form and contact information and an Appointment Request page.

Provide Information:
If you wish to set up a Prebuilt site, please email me your complete contact information including your name, practice name (if any), complete address, phone number, email address and address of your practice site. I will also need a written biography that you wish to appear on the About the Doctor page. Also let me know what color site you want.
If you wish to include a photograph of yourself, please attach a jpeg file not larger than 100 kb to the email or mail a photograph to Dr. Larry Barsh, 315 East 70th St., #7H, New York, NY 10021. If you wish me to return the photograph please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

The cost of the prebuilt site is $1550 payable in advance (includes server setup and first month's hosting). Payment may be made by PayPal, by faxing credit card information (name on card, address, expiration date, card number and security code) to 212-570-1459, or by sending a check to Quietsleep, 315 East 70th St., Suite 7H, New York, NY 10021. In addition, an ongoing $75 per month hosting charge will be set up on an automatic monthly credit card charge. This fee includes a daily RSS feed updating the sleep news section and 1/2 hour of maintenance per month.

Quietsleep Creative is always happy to develop a completely custom designed sleep practice web site for those doctors who wish to have a site that is unlike any other.
The navigation system, the pages, the design and colors will all be specifically developed for the individual practice.
Most doctors who want a completely custom designed site prefer to add the content in their own words which, after all, is the most effective way to attract patients to the office.

By the very nature of a completely custom designed site, it is impossible to provide an estimate of costs until we find out exactly what you have in mind. Please send an email with your contact information including name, phone number and email and a description of what you have in mind for a site. With this information. We'll get back to you either by phone or email to clarify even further so that we can provide an accurate estimate of costs.
